The 62nd edition of the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges Wine Auction took place this Sunday, March 12th, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Château du Clos de Vougeot.
Little sister of the famous Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction, the 2022 vintage auction broke a new record, exceeding 3 million euros for the first time. Record also broken for the charity barrel, sold for 63,630 euros, for the benefit of the Association Les Blouses Roses, which mainly works with hospitalized children and elderly people in nursing homes.
160 pieces of the 2022 vintage from the Nuits-Saint-Georges and Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Crus appellations were offered to buyers. The 2 pieces of Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Fleurières Les Plantes au Baron, Cuvée des Soeurs Hospitalières and the 2 pieces of Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Vignerondes, Cuvée Bernarde Delesclache purchased for the Marché aux Vins will be matured at Château de Marsannay. These wines will be on sale at the Marché aux Vins, your wine merchant in Beaune, in 2024!
